My Journey

Who I am 

My name is Madalynn, an outgoing, silly and Disney loving mom to my son who was born August 2023. I was born and raised in Antioch, California where I spent the first 20 years of my life, and where my child care career sprouted. I began as a full time Nanny in 2015 6 months before graduating from Antioch High School, and slowly transitioned to only Infant and Toddler care in 2018. I than began learning about Safe Infant Sleep and Car Seat Safety which led to my becoming a Safe Infant Sleep Ambassador with Cribs for Kids, a member of the non-profit Safe Infant Sleep, and a Certified Passenger Safety Technician. I found passion in educating families and caregivers on Infant Safety, and began researching careers with more in depth support.

After moving to Seattle at the end of 2018, I worked 3.5 years as a full time nanny supporting a total of 7 different families (3 infant nanny shares!), and was prepping for my future career as a Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula . During this time I also engaged in services to help provide safety information to families regarding SIDS, SUIDs, Safe Infant Sleep and Car Seat Safety. I completed my NCS training with Newborn Care Training Academy in 2021. After nearly 2 years of working as an overnight NCS, I became a Certified Postpartum Doula with Childbirth International.

My goals as a Newborn Care Specialist and PPD are to make sure your baby and family have support in the transition of this new environment and beautiful chaos. I will encourage you, provide you with time to rest, help with small household tasks like prepping for meals, dishes and baby laundry, and offer you safety education when asked for. It truly takes a village to raise a child, and I look forward to being a starting point in that village you will have for years to come!
